WTF – “FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY”
Over the past few months I have been getting lots of ads on my Facebook and Instagram advertising different SARMs, other steroid like formulas and even strange “elixir cure everything that ails you” supplements.
The ads give off a feel that they are just like any other supplement you could buy in Australia. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Many of these are drugs or mimic drug action and have had very little research on safety.
You might be thinking how on earth are they able to sell these “legally”. Well, it all evolves around one small phrase on the label….”For Research Use Only”. By adding this on the label there is a loop hole in the regulations and essentially the product is sold not for human consumption.
The big issue is the way these are advertised clearly for human consumption with photos and videos of athletes training and test such as “increase muscle size” “strip fat” Clearly, they are not advertising to a horse!
As there is no regulation the “liquids” can be filled and packed with pretty much anything that the manufacturer wants to increase profit, further increasing the risks.
Tested athletes must be VERY cautious and must not purchase any of these “For Research only” products such as LIGANDROL and other peptides. They will turn a positive drug test. Non athletes need to also avoid these due to the huge unknown safety of these drugs/supplements. My advise is 100% stay clear of these.
